Lindsay Freeman

State Manager, Community Relations, Kansas Gas Service

As the State Manager of Community Relations for Kansas Gas Service, Lindsay Freeman brings a strong track record of leadership in community engagement, public affairs, and relationship-building across Kansas. She leads a team focused on strengthening connections with local governments, businesses, and nonprofits to support communities across the state.

Previously, Lindsay served as Director of Community Relations at Advisors Excel, where she helped shape the company’s philanthropic strategy and community presence—an organization she continues to champion. Her work has earned recognition, including Topeka’s Top 20 Under 40, a YWCA Woman of Excellence nomination, a Leadership Greater Topeka Rising Star awardee and, most recently, a Southern Gas Association Chair’s Rising Leader finalist.

Lindsay is actively involved in civic life, serving on many local boards and as a proud Rotarian. She’s especially passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and creating and participating in meaningful volunteer experiences.

A graduate of Leadership Greater Topeka (2016) and Leadership Kansas (2023), Lindsay completed UMKC’s Bloch Executive Education Strategic Leadership Program in 2024. She holds degrees from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and Johnson County Community College. She and her husband, Aaron, a Captain with the Topeka Fire Department, are proud parents of four wonderful children, including one adopted through the Kansas foster care system.
