Jacklynn Walters

Jacklynn Walters is the Chief of Staff to Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson. A native Kansan residing in Shawnee, she brings a background in banking, local government, education advocacy, and legislative operations to her role supporting the Senate’s priorities.

Walters began her professional career in banking, where she worked for more than seven years. She later focused on family and community involvement, including homeschooling her four children and serving as Media Director for Midwest Parent Educators, a nonprofit supporting the greater Kansas City-area homeschool community.

In 2021, Walters was elected to the Shawnee City Council representing Ward 4, serving her community on issues important to families, public safety and fiscal responsibility. Prior to joining the Senate, she also supported Republican House candidates across Johnson County through the RHCC.

Walters joined Senate President Masterson’s staff in 2023 as Operations Director. She later served as Interim Chief of Staff and was appointed permanent Chief of Staff in January 2026.
