Emily Corby

Vice President of Operations – Kansas Chamber

Emily Corby is the Vice President of Operations at the Kansas Chamber, where she has been a dedicated team member since 2013. With over 12 years of experience, Emily oversees the Chamber’s internal operations, including billing, HR benefits and accounting. Her tenure has given her a well-rounded understanding of the organization and its mission to support Kansas businesses.

Emily earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from Washburn University, where she competed and performed as an opera singer. She later worked at Washburn as a Records Specialist while completing her Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies, focusing on American History, Science, Theater, and English.

Born in Emporia and raised in Topeka since the age of eight, Emily continues to call Topeka home with her husband, Kent, and their two daughters. Her oldest, Lily, is a sophomore nursing student at Pittsburg State University, while her youngest, Piper, is a fifth grader and budding entrepreneur. Emily proudly supports Piper’s pet boarding business and regularly attends her competitive cheer events.

In addition to her professional and family commitments, Emily volunteers twice a month teaching music at a local preschool. She values the relationships she’s built through her work and says, “Working at the Kansas Chamber has provided me with relationships I never could have dreamed of, giving me the opportunity to meet business professionals across the state of Kansas. I am proud to say that I work for an organization that represents the best interests of businesses in our state and helps to build the economy brick by brick with our advocacy work and dedication to success.”
